I have recently reconnected with my embossing machine. I haven’t used it since making my wedding invites several months ago and I almost forgot how fun it was. Now, I want to use embossing on everything and I have to remind myself not to post an embossing series on here! Well, considering the space it uses at the bottom of my tiny craft shelf, it better get to work! Here’s one of the projects I made using kraft paper:
The album used to look like this.
See why I wanted to cover it? I remember having notebooks with local celebrities on the cover as a kid not because I liked them but because they were cheaper. Wish I’d known this project back then. Here’s how you can hide those embarassing covers:
MATERIALS
Notebook/Album Kraft Paper double-sided tape
embossing machine/embossing folder
I wish I got a bigger embossing machine that could fit an A4 sized paper (is there one out there even?!) Anyway, I had to do the embossing for half of the cover first to fit the machine. I used a 4 inch x. 5.25 inch musical flourish folder for this one.
After embossing, stick the kraft paper on the cover using a double sided tape. Some crafters have washi tapes for a bestfriend, I have the double-sided tape! 🙂
Repeat the process for the remaining parts and you’re done!
